Claire Danquah

Specialist MSK Physiotherapist
BSc, HCPC

Claire graduated from Keele University in 1996 and has built an extensive career in physiotherapy, working across both the NHS and private practice sectors.

Within the NHS, Claire has worked as an Advanced Musculoskeletal Practitioner, assessing and managing patients with a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, including complex and persistent presentations. This role has developed her considerable expertise in advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis and triage, alongside the appropriate use of investigations, onward referral and injection therapy for selected joint and soft tissue conditions.

Claire brings particularly strong diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills to Cheshire Physioactive. She is highly experienced in assessing patients whose symptoms may be complex or where the underlying cause of pain is not immediately clear. Her thorough approach helps establish an appropriate clinical pathway, whether this involves physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation, further investigation or referral for specialist opinion.

Alongside her advanced NHS roles, Claire has many years of experience within private physiotherapy practice, treating patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal pain, injuries and functional problems. She enjoys working with patients of different ages and activity levels, adapting treatment and rehabilitation to suit the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Claire is committed to providing a consistently high standard of patient care. She places great importance on honesty, clear communication and ensuring patients understand both their condition and the options available to them. Her professional and approachable manner helps patients feel listened to and confident in the management of their injury or condition.

Sport and exercise are also an important part of Claire’s life. She is a keen netball player and regularly plays for a local team, giving her a first-hand understanding of the demands of training, competition and returning to sport following injury.

Claire is also a busy mum of three children who train to a high standard in athletics and dance. Supporting them with the demands of training and competition has given her additional insight into the importance of strength, conditioning, recovery and injury prevention in children and young athletes.

Claire’s combination of advanced diagnostic and triage skills, extensive musculoskeletal knowledge and experience across both NHS and private practice brings another important area of expertise to Cheshire Physioactive. Her thoughtful, thorough and patient-focused approach makes her a highly valued member of our clinical team.
