BPPV is a common inner-ear condition that can cause sudden episodes of dizziness or a spinning sensation, particularly when changing the position of your head. Symptoms may occur when rolling over in bed, getting up, looking upwards or bending down, and can sometimes be accompanied by nausea or a feeling of imbalance.
At Cheshire Physioactive, our experienced physiotherapists can assess and treat BPPV using specialist vestibular physiotherapy techniques. Treatment may include specific repositioning manoeuvres, such as the Epley manoeuvre, which are designed to move the small crystals within the inner ear back into their correct position.
Our physiotherapists will carry out a thorough assessment to identify the likely cause of your symptoms and provide an individually tailored treatment programme. Where appropriate, we can also provide advice and exercises to help improve balance, confidence and recovery.
If you are experiencing dizziness or vertigo, our expert physiotherapy team can assess your symptoms and help you get back to normal activities with confidence.
