Fiona and the team provide expert treatment and advice from state of the art facilities. If there was option to give 6 stars - I’d choose it!I also really value their holistic approach to therapy with tailored rehabilitation, Pilates, yoga and circuit training on top of the core physio service. I was referred by my surgeon to Fiona in preference to the hospitals own private physio practice 3 years ago and I’ve been part of the friendly and supportive Cheshire physioactive family ever since!

I have just returned from an amazing physio session with Will one of the physiotherapists. I contacted them on Sunday with back pain hoping they would pick up my enquiry when they opened on Monday. I was contacted Sunday evening and an appointment was made for the following day. After a thorough review of my issue I received some massage therapy followed by a detailed set of exercises to continue at home. No pressure selling techniques to pay for a programme. Advice was given as to how to proceed with recovery at home, how to strengthen my back to prevent future incidents and a reassurance that they are there to help if still needed in he near future. The pain has decreased massively and couldn’t be happier with my experience.

Visited Cheshire Physio active after suffering with a pain the full length of my left leg. What I thought was a muscle injury, Sarah quickly diagnosed as an inflamed disc, between my visits and at home exercises I was able to run a marathon 6 months later with no discomfort. The staff are all lovely and knowledgeable and Sarah gave me help and advice along the way.

Cheshire Physioactive had come highly recommended by a GP having effectively been dumped on the NHS scrap heap following multiple surgeries, NHS physios and years of agony. I suffer from degenerative spine disease amongst other injuries and live in chronic pain. Sadly all the NHS and their “computer says no/what we can’t do for you attitude” had failed me leaving me stuck on a seemingly never ending waiting list for neck fusion surgery and taking enough nerve meds and strong painkillers that would just put me to sleep with absolutely no quality of life whatsoever . From pregabalin , tramadol , morphine patches , codeine, baclofen , naproxen , cuddly toy , kitchen sink - Pretty much the entire BNF it felt like.

I first met Fiona over year ago and she’s been working with me regularly since. Initially my nerves were trapped in bulging discs in my neck and spine. The pain was excruciating from my neck particularly through my left trapz , shoulder, down my arm through the elbow into my fingers which left them numb and tingling. My forearm felt like it was on fire and the rest of the sciatic pain like a constant electric shock, leaving that side very weak . I’d had multiple surgeries in the past and I desperately didn’t want to have the neck fusion surgery if avoidable but it was looking like the last available option.

Fee has been incredible from day one , the consummate professional in her field, empathetic , caring and honest. Whilst no one can ultimately change my stars due to the nature of the illness , Fiona has certainly realigned many of them. I can genuinely say my pain levels are 80%better from when I first hobbled through the door with far less medication. I’m beginning to get some quality of life back after years being effectively bed bound. I can see light at the end of the tunnel now. In addition to this Fee’s got a very grounded dry Scottish sense of humour and it’s fair to say is a high level Bantersaurous Rex so you’ll leave with a smile even on your darkest of days.

Likewise from the moment you walk in and are greeted by the ladies on reception and Jane the office manager - everyone is kind , nothing is too much trouble and your health and wellbeing really matters to them as does your privacy. Cheshire Physioactive has been a game changer for me and Fiona and her team are worth their weight in gold.

I now look forward to the next stage of my journey in unison working with Ben the rehabilitation specialist to work on my strength and conditioning. I didn’t think I could get this far and it’s another step towards get my freedom and life back. A huge thank you to you all for everything you’ve done for me and long may the progression continue.

Anthony is patient, knowledgeable, and truly understands how the body works. He adapts every session to my individual needs, helping me build strength and finally work on my previously non-existent core. I’m training to fix my osteopenia and prevent further deterioration, and I always feel supported, safe, and encouraged in his classes.

I’ve also just started the cardio strength class with Ben, and it’s been great so far. Each circuit is adapted to suit my needs, especially to help me build bone density. I’m hoping that my next scan will show an improvement.

Fiona & her team changed my life! After 10 years of deteriorating health and chronic pain, I was finally diagnosed with a hEDS in January. My rheumatologist told me that lifelong physiotherapy was the primary treatment for this genetic, degenerative condition. However, I was told by multiple NHS and private physios that I was too high risk because of my frequent dislocations. I was heartbroken and afraid I would deteriorate faster than I already had.

Then my fiancé found Fiona after researching online and saw that her team had an Alter G treadmill. This would give me the opportunity to exercise with limited risk to my joints. After I explained my situation to Fiona, she was determined to help me. Since January, I have worked every week with Fiona and her team and I finally have muscles after years of muscle wastage. They are friendly, kind and professional. They work with you to achieve your goals while keeping you safe. This is the first winter where I haven’t been in bed most of the week. I feel empowered. Fiona has given me a sense of accomplishment, hope and drive that I never thought I would have again.

I will forever be grateful to her and the team for giving me a chance to live my life to the fullest again in spite of my disability. If you feel all hope is lost in your physio journey, I fully recommend Fiona and her team.

I started to go in May when I was introduced to Sarah Jones. Right from day one she has been amazing and very caring. I have had a nightmare 11 months and without Sarah I wouldn't be where I am now. She has helped me recover from hand surgery, a frozen shoulder and a severed muscle in my arm. She is so knowledgeable and really cares and wants to make you better. I would highly recommend Cheshire Physioactive

Amazing team and incredible service. I used the Alter G Anti Gravity Treadmill as part of my treatment during marathon training. The team were super useful and the kit itself was an amazing asset to training and rehabilitation. Can’t thank the team enough for all their help and for letting me use the Alter G tread!

I have been going Physioactive for some time, for routine treatment to keep my back in good shape. I fell in mums shower in April, and had a really sore shoulder.
Claire has really worked wonders, and it has settled well. I go regularly for maintenance on my sacroiliac joints, and this keeps me mobile and pain free.
The clinic is always warm and spotless, the staff are all professional and extremely good at their jobs.
I always have a great chat , and they really get to know you.
We discuss the intervals in between treatment, and you will never be pressured into unnessesary visits.
Fiona is very knowledgeable, having worked with neurological patients in the NHS, and will quickly send you to A&E if she feels further investigation is warranted.
Jane on reception is always helpful, and most of my family go for differing ailments.
Be assured that this is an excellent clinic to visit.

Following on from knee replacement surgery I have been working with two excellent physiotherapists on my rehabilitation programme.

The treatment has been first class and I am now seeing the benefits of all the hard work that has been put in. Both Fiona and Ben are friendly, approachable, extremely knowledgeable and focused on developing a series of exercises that will help me to achieve maximum results. They have given me the confidence to push through and move forward positively with my rehabilitation.

Cheshire Physioactive have an excellent team. From the moment you arrive in reception until the moment you leave. Everyone makes you feel welcomed. I would have no hesitation to thoroughly recommend the practice.
